i'm a bad bad girl :-) i bought a new bra, a garter belt and have bid on 3 purses on ebay. shame on me! well not really, i'm still doing good on $$ considering how much i've had to spend on bills recently. and the bra is a sexy one so woot to that! now i just need stockings to go with it! guess i'll have to go buy those ahora :-)
ok so now i've bought bra, garter belt, stockings, and 3 possible purses. and i was told that i'm pretty today. compliments always make me feel good!
yay!
i am in such a flirty mood right now, like totally flirty. i've been hair tossing, and smiling, and just generally feeling good all day. i attribute it to nice weather, clothes that once didn't fit, looking nice, lots of fresh laundry and clean dishes waiting for me at home, and things going really well with rick :-)

I've never really given too much thought to the different letters and which letter would be my favorite but i must say i love a multitude of things that start with "M". When you look at the letter M it's all angular. Straight lines, harsh angles, but when you say it....mmmmmmm......it just rolls around all rounded and soft. There are so many more things that I like that begin with M than I realized. Under the cut are just ten of them. At the moment they are my top ten though "mysteries" almost made it on the list too. Comment if you want a letter!
Comment and I'll give you a letter. You have to list 10 things you love that begin with that letter. After, post this in your journal, and give out some letters of your own.

I HATE BRAS! there i said it. i'm not ashamed. i'm not some women's libber, bras don't make me feel constricted or bound or anything, but i hate them. however, my hatred may soon diminish as the perfect bra fit has finally been explained to me. if your bra rides up in the back, the cup size is too small and the band size is too big. if that is true then i will be taken into the scarily uncharted territory of DDD. yuck. though i found out i fill out lingere like WOAH. thanks jessica for convincing me to buy some!! i'm on a new quest. i am going to build up my lingere and unmentionable wardrobe with sexy pretty things. i'll still keep a couple practical, but now that i realize that hey, i look pretty decent in cute stuff i'm going to invest in nothing but pretty things that make me feel good about myself.
hurray for trying to build up an awesome wardrobe again! i do love being a girl, and being so curvy is nice...though i'm still trying to slim down mas.
but i still hate bras. ooo and jeans. i still kinda love heels though.

if i remove myself from the fact that i was brought up christian and look at the majority of christians around me, and read different christian writings it all begins to feel a bit cult like. in fact almost all religions seem cult like to me. does that mean that i'm some sort of heathen? in studying philosophy while i was at NGCSU and continuing my studies outside of school it seems more and more apparent to me that religion was used as a way to control the masses. if you promise peasants who have a terrible lot in this life that they will be eternally rewarded in the next then maybe they won't revolt. religion also seems to make a lot of people content with mediocrity. i can find something to agree with in the majority of religious ideaolgies and i don't think that the idea of religion is bad necessarily but i don't completely think it's good to try and force everyone to believe one way. if i look at christianity in an open minded sense, the majority of the commandments are pretty simple they basically say be a good person. the pillars of islam are exactly the same minus the wording. hinduism intrigues me, and a pantheistic outlook really speaks to the part of me that personifies everything in my life. but buddhism is the religion that seems to fit my personality and life the best. i admit i'm not theologian and i don't really have all the info on religions but i am going to begin studying religion a little more voraciously. in studying ethics and philosophy i have begun to desire to develop my spiritual self more.

patience is a virtue which i cannot lay any type of claim to. i'm waiting on 2 very important things. one is a sum of money to be deposited into my bank account and the other is paperwork that will once and for all free me from any reminders of "the brent years". the sum of money was supposed to be deposited yesterday but it wasn't and i'm trying to tell myself not to panic but it is rather hard. i won't full out panic until i talk to my representative at omni. if i can't get ahold of her i will panic. at this very moment i am trying to prevent myself from calling again. which will make it about 4 times since 9am. yup, here i go again. let's see if i get an answer....holding...holding...at least they have nice hold music, it's very soothing, it's like a spanish guitar...holding...and message machine!! perhaps they don't get in the office until 10. i'm not really sure of her hours.
ok i'm going to take the next 17 minutes to prepare for the meeting.
until later kids.

so i dyed my hair back to my natural color. i quite like it and i've put a couple pics under the cut. i was laying in bed the other night and playing with my digi cam and voila! fotos de moi. yes i like to mix languages.
so i've read some pretty fantastic books lately. ashley let me borrow her copy of memiors of a geisha because i leant her "the jesus mysteries" and "johnathan strange and mr. norrell" i really enjoyed memiors even though it was pretty sad. i had avoided it in the past because i don't like sad things and i just assumed it would be very sad, however the story just hooked me from the beginning. i like the author's way of writing and especially how he described the clothing and settings of the book.
at the moment i'm reading laurell k. hamilton's "the harlequin" which is wonderful! if any of you have been following the anita blake series you know that it started out as a really kick ass supernatural series with a sexy edge to it, well in later books it's almost straight porn with no real plot. i've been so sad because i used to love her books so much and then anita turned slutty. well this book is a throw back to the old style! it's even got edward the loveable sociopath. i figure on finishing it this weekend or early next week.
i've also been re-reading the anne of green gables series. i got through the 3rd before i started memiors and i'll prolly go back and finish the fourth in a while because anne of windy poplars is a really good book, and actually quite funny! i love that series, it's so heartwarming and sweet. it's one of those books that make me want to be a good girl and all that jazz, similar to little women. little women always makes me want to play pilgrims progress along with the girls. it also doesn't hurt that gilbert from anne, and laurie from little women are two of my favorite written romantic interests. the man i marry will be like laurie and gilbert. good and sweet with a LOT of mischief and fun to them.
after i finish the harlequin, i can't decide what i want to read next, i just got "the history of love: a novel" by nicole krauss, "the nicomachean ethics" by aristotle, "spellbound" by nora roberts and "wicked: the life and times of the wicked witch of the west" by gregory maguire. i also still have anna karenina to finish before i can tackle my next tolstoy. i've finially decided to try and read all the great russian authors, but i'm definitley not going to be an elitist about it :)
wow i can go on and on about books can't i? well let's just get to the pics!
kisses for those who want them!

So much has happened since I last updated. It's insane. I've done some things that I'm definitely not proud of per say but I am feeling strangely guilt free over. This has forced me to examine myself pretty closely and I'm not sure I like what I've found out. My morals are more flexible than I used to believe. I desperately want someone to confide in but I'm afraid of people thinking less of me. Ugh. I'm awfully whiny this morning. So I'll change topics.
Work is going splendidly!! If you're on my facebook or myspace you should check out my new album of events at the club! It's mainly pictures of bar and table set ups and floral arrangements but I'm pretty proud of it myself! We had a HUGE event all last week, and are getting booked up pretty solid for the next few months with all the holidays. I am really enjoying my job and for the first time in a long time feel excited to wake up every morning. The event last week was the 2007 Member Guest Tournament. That's where every member who wishes to participate brings a guest from outside the club to be his partner and the pairs play off. There were 11 flights of 5 pairs so we had 110 players, plus all their wives and girlfriends running around the club. There was lots of food, lots of liquor and tons of money flying around. It rained on Friday so the guys all came in soaked and bought mew golf shirts in the pro shop so secretly all of the employees are pretty pleased that the weather was foul on Friday. Saturday was glorious and we were able to have the Champions dinner inside and outside. Soooo pretty.
Sunday I went out with a couple of friends and we went to Old Roswell and went in all the galleries and shops. Sooo Fun!!
My kitty is adorable and getting bigger and he's just sooooo sweet! I luff him forever!
Ok i'm gonna go now!

i have highlights right now and a lighter brown base color. i got highlights because rick said that he prefers light haired girls. but i'm not convinced that it is the best look for me. soooo i will do a poll and ask a lot of trusted people and then try to make my decision. of course rick's opinion carries a lot of weight because he sees me more often than anyone else and he has to kiss me...and stuff. ;) soooo anyway here are the pictures:
and now for the poll!!!

1. Are you a child of the 70’s 80’s or 90’s?
late 80's early 90's lol
2. Where were you born?
Dwight D. Eisenhower Hospital Ft. Gordon Augusta Georgia
3. If you were born in another country how old were you when you came here?
I was almost born in Germany but my mom was too far along in her pregnancy to fly so my dad was transferred to Augusta instead.
4. What city did you grow up in?
I spent the majority of my childhood in Douglasville, GA
5. Did you enjoy your childhood?
I was a generally happy child. As long as I had books and friends around me I was happy.
6. When you were a kid what did you want to be when you grew up?
Marine Biologist.
7. What was your favorite toy when you were little?
My imagination!! That coupled with books and American Girl dolls.
9. What was your first best friend’s name?
Holly Jacobson.
10. Are they still your best friend?
Nope, she was 4 years older than me and got married when she was 17 and after that we never really talked.
11. If not, who are your bestfriend/s now?
Kevin!
12. How did you meet them?
At the pool, towards the end of 7th grade when we were the only two people crazy enough to go swimming in the rain!
13. Can you name all the schools you ever attended?
Sure can!!
14. Who was your first crush?
Hrm. It was in 5th grade on Lance Prewitt, and he defintely did not reciprocate. Ugh.
15. Were you a shy quiet kid or a very wild and roudy kid?
I was incredibly outgoing until I was 9 and we moved to Virginia. There I became extremely shy and withdrawn. Then once I moved back to Georgia I was so different than all the other kids. Way ahead in school because the school system in VA was great, and I was a big ol nerd. Once I hit 10th grade I started going back to my outspoken, gregarious self. When I hit college I was all me baby.
16. When you were little what did you do for fun?
Read, play with toys and friends, and make up these unbelieveably detailed pretend games.
17. Were you closer to your Mom or Dad as a kid?
My Mom. My Dad wasn't around a whole lot because of work.
18. Do you have any embarrassing school stories to share?
In second grede I wore my Halloween costume on the wrong day. I wore it on actual Halloween but everyone was supposed to do it on Friday. I was absolutely horrified. That was my first real experience with embarassment.
19. What was the first record, tape or CD you remember buying?
Ace of Base I saw the Sign.
20. How old did you want to be when you get married?
I never really thought about marriage beyond the dress and the party details. I was career driven. I planned to have my PhD when I was 28 and all that kind of stuff.
21. How old to have kids?
Never really thought about children either. Other than a passing thought of that might be nice, or no way in hell will I have anything growing inside me.
22. Were you scared of anything?
Bugs, snakes and anything slimy. My second grade teacher had a pet snake and she would feed it mice on Fridays so the class could watch. I watched the first time and nearly threw up. The poor little mouse's eyes popped out from the pressure of the snake.
23. What was your favorite class in school?
All of them really. Except PE, I never really liked it. Favorites were English, Art, Science, Social Studies, and Music.
24. Did you buy school lunch or bring your own?
Bought all through elementary school and most of middle and bought in high school
.
25. Broke any bones or had any freaky accidents as a kid?
I broke my wrist, two fingers, and a toe. Sprained an ankle once, and hyperextended my knee once. Plus a myriad of scrapes and bruises. I mark up super easy from being so fair skinned and I always played hard.
26. Were you a meanie head or miss prissy?
More prissy than mean but I would also always go play in the creek and play with boys a lot.
27. Favorite board game of all time?
Monopoly!!!
28. Did you play house or pretend to be a super hero?
A variety of house or office was always played, as for super heroes I love the teenage mutant ninja turtles and we would play that in CA a lot.
29. Random memory from when you were a kid?
When I lived in Utah and my family was about to move to PA my friends and I played kidnap. My best friend's brothers tied me up to the for sale sign in my yard with jump rope and then left me. Holly couldn't get the knots undone so she got my dad. He couldn't get them either. I started panicking so they just cut the jump rope. OOOOO and my first Christmas that I can remember was during a blizzard and the power went out so we slept under the Christmas tree with space heaters. It was GREAT!
30. Seriously..are you still just a kid at heart?
Totally.

I have an appointment tomorrow to get highlights, now I won't be able to make that appointment because my mom is going to London tomorrow and I'm taking her to the airport. Here is my quandry though...do I reschedule the appt for monday or do I wait until my next payday? I got my first CC paycheck which is super exciting and it's $200 more than I expected it be so I could easily afford the highlights but it might be smarter to wait. So i have a poll!!
Poll #1041283 Highlights or not?
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All, participants: 3
LOL. I seriously need a staff of people to help me make the financial choices of my life. *sigh*Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All, participants: 3
Should I get my highlights this pay period or wait?

i am unable to sleep. this is the second night in a row that i have fallen asleep for 1-2 hours and then woke up with an abundance of energy and an inability to fall back asleep. this has got to stop because my new job is far more demanding than my old one. i tried taking a benedryl before bed and that didn't work, obviously. so i have taken two more and there has been no effect. i need to figure out what to do. i think tomorrow i will go and get some chamomile tea, and try to find a relaxing incense to burn while i fall asleep. i have always been a night owl but this is ridiculous!
what do you do, dear readers, when you find yourself awake in the middle of the night. i've tried taking baths, i've tried just laying there, i've tried reading, i've tried watching tv, the only thing i can think of besides heavy duty drugs that i haven't tried is working out. maybe that's what i need to do.
oh well. tonight was fun! rick and i went to get his hair cut, then we stopped by Dick's Sporting Goods where he bought a new scope cover for his AR-15 and a new gun cleaning kit. We wandered around for awhile and I figured out what I'm going to get him for his birthday...well at lesat one thing. YAY! His haircut looks great and he's been looking really good lately. i love all his new clothes that we picked out and i love how his hair is growing out! hurray for hair! when we were leaving the salon he asked what i would think if he bought me a spa package. my jaw nearly hit the floor!! i've been wanting to go to a spa forever!! so we will see, maybe for christmas or my birthday or something! :-) while we were driving he decided that we should go out to eat, so we went to the roadhouse. the first 2 times we went it was great! fast service, great food ect. the last time we went there it was with
lillylafae and her fiance and it wasn't so good. they got her and corey's orders wrong and the service was really slow. tonight was just as bad! my food sucked, and honestly how do you mess up chicken fingers, and the service was abysmal. the only good part was that rick and figured out what we're doing for his birthday. we're going to invite a bunch of people over and go to benihana's and then back home for drinks and movies ect. once we got home rick got in the shower and i called his best friend to find out which day is best for him. i think it's going to be super fun and i'm going to decorate the apartment for him and just try to make it a really fun day. :-)
okay imy eyes are beginning to get tired so maybe, just maybe i can fall asleep! yay!!!

the event is going smoothly! yay!! i can't get ahold of the lobster people to get a tracking number so i yet again have missing crustaceans on my hands. *sigh*
anyway. on to the second part of my night. my friend wes who i barely see due to our conflicting schedules and his being halfway around the world for the past few years called me last night to go hang out with danny, ava and him. they were at american pie in buckhead or midtown...i'm not exactly sure on the locale. but anyway, they came up to my apartment (thank god i'm a neat freak!!) and we hung out and drank what little alcohol rick and i have left, well they all drank, i stayed sober. then we all went to waffle house and had a grand old time! it was so much fun! and rick really got along with wes and danny. ava was really sweet too. i hope everyone had fun!! wes is really hard to read sometimes so i can't be sure but i do think that everyone enjoyed themselves.
so after they all left i crashed. hardcore. or at least i tried to. rick and i were in bed talking as we are apt to do and that led to...things...which led to me having a broken vagina!!! i won't go into details but oh my god if i don't stop having these girl problems i swear to buddah someone will die!!
enough of the dirty stuff. i can't decide what to have for lunch. there is a fabulous menu laid out in front of me, and all of it is complimentary and i can't decide!!! AAAHHH!!! :( i think i may cry.
i'm so happy, my day is already halfway over!! YAY!!
i'm all over the place in this entry. good lord. i'm gonna go down and put my order in with the bar. ta ta!!

it's 9:26 and all is well. in 34 minutes a tournament will be starting and it is my responsibility to make sure everything runs smoothly. i'm sooo tired but i'm also kind of jittery because this is my second day on the job and never in my life have i headed up an event. at least i don't have to make any kind of speech. whew. i'm a behind the scenes girl today.
yesterday i started work at the country club and oh my buddah will there be drama left and right here! not only am i serving a class of people that i have never interacted with, i'm working a job that i've really had no previous experience with. my official title is office manager, but it seems more like i'm an events manager. the bulk of my duties lie with the day to day running of the club, as well as making sure everything is in place for all the events we host. golf tournaments, weddings, business functions ect. today is a big tournament day with the club men's league. there were people all over the course when i pulled in the parking lot, and i was here at 8:45!! it is saturday though, and a tournament day so i guess that it's not unusual.
i'm so exhausted right now. yesterday ran me ragged! the first half of the day i trained with the old office manager who is moving to a club in charlotte NC. i met everyone learned all the ordering systems, got a name and description of all our vendors, made my first contact with the hotels we partner with, spoke with the chef and head of the pro shops regarding their ordering systems, set up my computer, and took a tour of the club, all before 1pm!! then i was left to my own devices for the rest of the day. it was a trial by fire sort of thing if you ask me. the majority of the rest of the day was taken up by a shrimp crises. 30 lbs of fresh shrimp was to be delivered by 3:00, but when i called at 2 to confirm delivery no one was to be found!! we got a delivery, but it was of scallops and clams!! they switched the delivers between the two Kenneth G. Horton clubs, Governor's Towne Club and Crooked Creek. So we got in touch with each other and had the deliveries switched but it was a close call. i was very happy that all was fixed in the end. the rest of my day was spent talking with a bride to be about her wedding reception in november. i'm really looking forward to working on more weddings. i know it will be stressful but i think it will be tons of fun. OH! i must talk to the chef today. i don't really know too much about the kinds of menus we offer, or even if we prepare for the receptions or if a caterer does.
ACKl i lost track of time! i have to go down to the pro shop and make sure that everything is running smoothly...wish me luck for this event!!

i start my new job tomorrow! i'm very very excited, though i don't really know what to wear, nor how to do my hair. should it be sleek and straight, or wavy and full of body? well i guess it just depends on how it does when i get out of the shower. i'm terribly excited even though i'm trying not to be. it's just a job after all but i feel like the first day of school!! i just hope training isn't too horribly boring.
i've been working on my apartment today and i've picked out all the furniture that i'm going to be buying soon. let's see, i also went to the gym today, and updated my ipod and touched up my toenails. i also made dinner and i think in a little while i might go to sonic and grab a milkshake. yum yum.
i'm feeling much better, but i'm still all sniffly.
this is short and sweet but i'm mainly updating for kevin!!
love you bestie!!
i'll update about my job tomorrow! yay!

I'm a sick girl today. I need to sleep but the inability to breathe and the burning pain in my throat has ruled out that possibility. I could clean but that would require moving. I could take a bath but last night when I did that I just ended up with the shivers and an overwhelming desire to smother myself. Well okay I'm being a tad bit dramatic. I did want to smother myself but only for a second. Then I wanted to smother Rick who choose last night to be the night he debuted his symphony of snores. If only I had paper to throw at him...it would be like UT all over again. Except instead of snoring ruining the emotional high point of Shakespere in Love it was the ruination of my sleep!! So here I sit. With laundry to be folded, floors to be vacuumed, medicine to be bought and I'm not even dressed! Seriously. I'm not. I came out of the bath last night and wrapped up in blankets and thus have been naked ever since. Not cool because I need to put on clothes but I lack the energy to do so.
I wanted to write a nice long proper update but I will just give a rundown.
Monday: quit BayRock

Monday Night: Discovered Wentworth Marketing is a scam
Tuesday: Interviewed with Croooked Creek Golf Club
Tuesday Night: Went to Tiajuana Joe's with Rick saw my mom and John there, did trivia with them, everyone got totally drunk except me.
Wednesday: Got the job at Crooked Creek Golf Club

Thursday Night: Got in tiff with said man. Couch thing was delivered
Friday: hrm. I don't think anything noteworthy happened.
Saturday: Went to Annika's apartment warming party
Saturday Night: Went with Rick to my mom's
Sunday: Nothing happened

There's my week!! I'm waiting on my background check for CC and then once it comes in I can start! YAY!!
Ok and I'm off. To get dressed, and hopefully accomplish a little cleaning.
