so i dyed my hair back to my natural color. i quite like it and i've put a couple pics under the cut. i was laying in bed the other night and playing with my digi cam and voila! fotos de moi. yes i like to mix languages.

so i've read some pretty fantastic books lately. ashley let me borrow her copy of memiors of a geisha because i leant her "the jesus mysteries" and "johnathan strange and mr. norrell" i really enjoyed memiors even though it was pretty sad. i had avoided it in the past because i don't like sad things and i just assumed it would be very sad, however the story just hooked me from the beginning. i like the author's way of writing and especially how he described the clothing and settings of the book.

at the moment i'm reading laurell k. hamilton's "the harlequin" which is wonderful! if any of you have been following the anita blake series you know that it started out as a really kick ass supernatural series with a sexy edge to it, well in later books it's almost straight porn with no real plot. i've been so sad because i used to love her books so much and then anita turned slutty. well this book is a throw back to the old style! it's even got edward the loveable sociopath. i figure on finishing it this weekend or early next week.

i've also been re-reading the anne of green gables series. i got through the 3rd before i started memiors and i'll prolly go back and finish the fourth in a while because anne of windy poplars is a really good book, and actually quite funny! i love that series, it's so heartwarming and sweet. it's one of those books that make me want to be a good girl and all that jazz, similar to little women. little women always makes me want to play pilgrims progress along with the girls. it also doesn't hurt that gilbert from anne, and laurie from little women are two of my favorite written romantic interests. the man i marry will be like laurie and gilbert. good and sweet with a LOT of mischief and fun to them.

after i finish the harlequin, i can't decide what i want to read next, i just got "the history of love: a novel" by nicole krauss, "the nicomachean ethics" by aristotle, "spellbound" by nora roberts and "wicked: the life and times of the wicked witch of the west" by gregory maguire. i also still have anna karenina to finish before i can tackle my next tolstoy. i've finially decided to try and read all the great russian authors, but i'm definitley not going to be an elitist about it :)

wow i can go on and on about books can't i? well let's just get to the pics!

kisses for those who want them!
